About the Company:

Syntach AB is based in Lund, Sweden, and was founded to develop innovative solutions for heart failure therapies. We have grown considerably since we started and now employ around 20 team members in Lund. In addition, we work with several consultants and subcontractors in Europe and the U.S.

Syntach AB collaborates with several universities around the world, and we work closely with various institutions at Lund University, especially the Department of Clinical Physiology. Even though we are a relatively small organization, Syntach AB has a global reach and an active worldwide network preparing for the launch of our products globally.

Syntach AB is developing two products for the treatment of heart failure patients. The main product has a truly novel approach for cardiac support and is based on new, state-of-the-art research in human physiology and the function of the heart. The second product is in minimally invasive treatment of mitral valve regurgitation in heart failure patients. You will:

You will be involved in a team of 4-5 persons working with our implantable ring and its anchoring system. This team will take todays design and transfer it into a producible product. Selection of suppliers and manufacturing method will also be done.

Requirements:

Engineering degree in relevant discipline
Creativity
Experience from Micro mechanical Engineering
Experience from Medical Device Industry and especially minimally invasive implants is an advantage.
The following are also considered as an advantage:
- Knowledge about Nitinol: Experience of heart implants, Experience of Solid works, Knowledge about prototype manufacturing.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Start: Immediately, with regards of notice periods and until September preliminary

Position: Consultant from 50% to full time

Placement: Lund, Sweden

Salary: As agreed upon
